Drugs are things that will ruin your entire life just by one shot. It will change you into a new, terrible person that not even you can recognize. You wont be that A student you strived to be your entire life, you wont think about what your gonna be as the years pass by, and you wont be the amazing child that your parents were glad to see. In a blink of an eye your someone else, someone you werent meant to be. the person with the shaded face, a slumped figure, and hooded jacket over their face, the person who cant walk straight and is in a daze and has no clue what the hell they're doing. and that's where the story begins.
Kristina was always the ideal daughter, she did as she was told, did great in school, and studied as much as people watched tv. then something went wrong, she got pregnant young, got addicted to drugs which she so called the "monster" and things were never going to go back to the way they were ever again. but with the constant struggle of needing drugs to feel alive again, she still believed she could be in power and control herself the drugs and the baby all alone. but the truth is that things are easier said than done, and Kristina learns that soon enough.
This is really good but i just think that you need to connect it to something. You have a great start of an idea. Great job, Ninny! (:
ReplyDeletethis is a good start. i like ur idea about changing who you are when you take drugs...but maybe not so exaggerated? its funny...did u mean it to be funny? its like "with one shot ull have a hood over ur face, a shaded figure, and wont be able to walk right." heheh. :) no, but its good. elaborate more about the actual book and I think you should start out with talking about the book instead of the other way around, and THEN talk about how it has to do with the rest of the world. and also say why you think these things and how one drug can LEAD to a hooded figure, instead of just saying you WILL NOT BE AN A STUDENT AFTER YOU TAKE DRUGS FOR THE FIRST TIME YOU WILL DIE AND FAIL IN ALL UR CLASSES.
ReplyDeleteI really liked how you introduced the big problem of the book at the start and then you made the problem connect to the main character. But, I agree with Tiffany; you should really connect it to something. The problem, drugs relates to teenagers everywhere. I love how you put poetic devices in your blog because it really made me think about what drugs really can do to a person. But this blog post is also lacking in opinions. What's your opinion? What is your perspective on drugs? To me, it's terrible and it ruins someone.
ReplyDeletei really agree with karenna, i feel like the fact that you say that drugs will turn you into a terrible person makes it seem a bit over-dramatic and slightly unrealistic. but i like idea you have, that you can turn from being a straight-A good girl, to being a bum with no hope in life. I think that you should have mentioned more about willpower and how you can avoid being that person with the slumped figure and . the whole thing about how drugs will destroy your life in one shot is too much. i like how you used symbolism when you said "the person with the shaded face" because I can really imagine what your talking about. nice job dudeeee
